Boiler trouble im at my wits end?

ok so we got our boiler fixed about 2 months ago, but the same day its stopped working so we called the guy from the gas company again and he came back and fixed it in a few mins, but was gone again that night so when we called him out he came and showed us a little on we have to push in if it happens again, which is fine except recently we have to puch that reset on every 15 mins the heat is on, which is so annoying cuz we cant set it on a timer when we go to bed,, im just wondering if im going mad or not because i thought if something is short circuting then its unsafe just to restart it constintly, is he ripping us off or is this ok?
